Choice Transfer Requests
TOLEDO SCHOOL DISTRICT WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING PAPER CHOICE TRANSFER REQUESTS.
The Toledo School District will soon begin its annual review of out-of-district choice applications for students requesting enrollment for the 2025-26 school year. All requests will be initiated in the OSPI, Washington State Choice Transfer Portal. A paper Choice Transfer Request Form will only be accepted if the applicant is unable to access the online portal https://eds.ospi.k12.wa.us/ChoiceTransferRequest/.
This process is required of all choice students annually. As a condition of enrollment, choice students must abide by all school disciplinary codes, maintain satisfactory attendance, and meet academic expectations.
In order to best accommodate the maximum number of students, transfer requests will only be considered when there is capacity in the school/grade level requested. We will consider applications during two review periods. Requests received prior to, or between, review periods will be denied and must be resubmitted when the review period opens. Transfer requests received after the school year begins will be provided with a written notification of approval or denial within 45 days.
Review Period One:
Written notification of approval or denial on transfer requests received between May 1st and June 1st for the following school year will be provided prior to the end of the current school year.
Review Period Two:
Written notification of approval or denial on transfer requests received between July 1st and August 10th will be provided prior to the beginning of the school year.
